What is Steam Guard and how to check it?

Steam Guard is a security feature from Steam that helps protect your account from unauthorized access. It adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a one-time code whenever you log in from a new device or browser. This code is sent through the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator in the Steam app.

To trade on PirateSwap, your Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator must be enabled for at least 7 days. Without it, your account won’t be eligible for trading.

How to Check if Steam Guard is Enabled

Open Steam on your phone and go to the Steam Guard section in the menu.
If you see a one-time login code, Steam Guard is active.
If it’s not enabled, follow the instructions in the Steam app settings to activate it.

Keeping Steam Guard enabled helps secure your trades and account from unauthorized access. If you change devices or disable Steam Guard, you’ll need to wait 7 days before you can trade again.
