The Steam Workshop is filled with amazing talents creating incredible art, but among them, a select few stand out as the most successful CS2 skin creators, with now-iconic designs in their portfolios. In this article, we’ll count down the top 10 Workshop artists, so that you can explore their work and see what might come next to Counter-Strike 2. In no particular order, here are the best skin creators!

Puffin

The creator of the Neon Rider is perhaps the greatest success story in Counter-Strike when it comes to crossover appeal.

It’s not just that he has eight skins in the game, along with a sticker. He also managed to parlay that into a deal with SteelSeries, which saw a limited release of a Neon Rider mouse, mouse pad, and mouse mat.

apel8

A man that defined a collection. His Egyptian Collection skins, spearheaded by the AK-47 | Legion of Anubis, are some of the most iconic skins in the game.

apel8 is responsible for plenty of other designs, too, including AWP | Containment Breach and AWP | Fever Dream, among others. With a total of 17 gun skins in the game (and a bunch of stickers), it can be argued that apel8 is the absolute GOAT of Counter-Strike skin design.

Coridium

Competing with apel8 for that title is Coridium, with 18 successful submissions, including the iconic Asiimov series.

Coridium’s skins are a bit less diverse, however, mostly focusing on sci-fi vibes. We can’t wait to see where this master’s craft goes next.

JTPNZ

With only two skins to his name, JTPNZ might not be the most prolific, but the Printstream series quickly became one of the most iconic skin designs in Counter-Strike.

Nextgenz

Nextgenz is among the most prolific/successful CS2 skin creators, in terms of the number of skins added to the game and their popularity. He has 13 skins in the game already, and his AK-47 | Nightwish was one of the winners of the Dreams and Nightmares contest, awarding Nextgenz a whopping $100,000.

Among Nextgenz other creations that have been added to the game is the Cyrex series, with the iconic white, black, and red designs for the M4A1-S, USP-S, SCAR-20, and SG 553.

Another one-series wonder, donschi added 5 Neo-Noir skins to the fold, including, most recently, the UMP-45 | Neo-Noir, released with the October 2024 Armory update. Here’s AWP | Neo-Noir:

The winner of the 2023 CS2 Skin Creator of the Year award, Moonfighter has three skins in the game at the time of writing. The M4A1-S | Black Lotus is one of Moonfigther’s most recognizable designs.
